We are really sorry to announce that we have had to cancel our show in Strasbourg tonight at short notice due to circumstances beyond our control. We would also like to apologise for not being able to appear at the Querbeat Festival in Unterwaldhausen last night for the same reason. Regrettably, our tour bus broke down yesterday and despite our best efforts and endless hours waiting at a Mercedes garage for an emergency repair, the vehicle wasn’t drivable and is being relayed back to the UK. We are all massively disappointed about this as we have been really looking forward to Querbeat and returning to Strasbourg after such a long time.
On a happier note, a big thank you to everyone who came to see us at Freedom Sounds in Cologne on Friday – such a great night all round, and thanks too to Vom Ritchie for getting up and playing a tune with us. Mega!
Apologies again to everyone and see you all soon when our bus is back on the road. X
Last chance to get remaining tickets for the upcoming FREEDOM SOUNDS FESTIVAL in Cologne of Friday 24 April! We’ll be at the QUERBEAT FESTIVAL on Saturday 25 April and then on to France and a show at the TATTOO WORLD FESTIVAL in Strasbourg on Sunday 26 April.
We are taking a break in May but lots of new tour dates have been added this summer, kicking off with a return to the KULTTEMPEL in Oberhausen on June 5 for some Ruhrpott Ska.
If you haven’t got your tickets already, hurry up as they are going fast: more details of line-up at http://www.londoninternationalskafestival
Catch our special set on Friday, 3rd April along with GENTLEMAN’s DUB CLUB among others.
We are on the road again at the end of April, stopping off in COLOGNE for the FREEDOM SOUNDS FESTIVAL on the way to Lake Constance for the QUERBEAT FESTIVAL and back via STRASBOURG for TATTOO WORLD FESTIVAL, no doubt suitably adorned with body art. Check out the FREEDOM SOUNDS Facebook page for more information and an historic interview with BUSTER SHUFFLE.
It is with a mixture of sadness and relief that we finally say goodbye to our red tour bus (affectionally known as the 38, as in “I hate the 38″ from the self-same song). It has served us well but had its very last ADAC, AA, Green Flag roadside rescue call out last Saturday at the Ruhrpott Ska-Explosion in Dortmund and will henceforward be gathering rust on some South East London scrap heap:-(
Unfortunately, this has created enormous logistical problems for our shows this weekend. Suffice it to say, the show must go on and we shall be at the Moshpit Club in Naters in Switzerland tonight (23 January) and at the Alte Brauerei in Annaberg-Buchholz on Saturday in some shape or form for a welcome return to the Erzgebirge after such a long time.
A special thanks to everyone who came to our two awesome joint headline shows with TWO TONE CLUB in Dunkirk at Les 4 Ecluses in Dunkirk and Magasin 4 in Brussels. A special BIG thank you from us to everyone at the Ruhrpott Ska-Explosion for their support and understanding and for promoting such a great festival, not to mention everyone who came and enjoyed the show. Another great night!
