Debut album ‘Our Night Out’ was recorded in a shared house in East London, with the vocal recorded behind a duvet cover in the corner of Jet’s room. Some would say it was DIY, Buster Shuffle say: Keep the Control.

Turning down all the major label deals they were approached with, they said: »we didn’t like the 360 deals offered, or the sound of what some labels wanted to turn us into ..." This band simply wanted to stick to its roots and so was unwilling to compromise its authentic sound.

‘Inspired arrangements and effective songs. One to watch’ 4/5 Star Album Review
Uncut magazine, 01/10/09

Talking of London, this has the smell of the Smoke about it
Steve Lamacq, Radio 2, ‘Introducing’ 05/08/09

Take my word for it, they’re rockin
Jenna Good, The Sun ‘Bizarre’ Section 15/10/07

You'll enjoy this knees-up bar-room ska-pop from these chirpy cockneys
Paul Lester, The Guardian 'New Band of the Day' 19/08/09

Buster Shuffle have a verve and feel for the ska foundations laid by early Specials and Madness. They also add imaginative arrangements, sharp tunes and harmonies to the mix.
Gavin Martin, The Daily Mirror 14/09/09

‘A young Madness’ .
The Sun, 05/10/09

Hot not on the TV- Buster Shuffle- Cockney Ska

Time Out, 23/08/09

'Ian from Art Brut produced their album, which is good enough reason for us to take a listen to these authentic East end knees up boys'
Artrocker, 01/09/09

Their let's -have-a-knees-up ska-pop is rough, ready and infectious, and will have have you bending your knees and exclaiming 'Oi!' in no time.

Mark Glenning, Glasswerk National, 23/10/09

The impression will be immediate. The effect will be long-lasting. When the time comes to compile my Subba-cultcha's writers top albums of 2009 this record will be there - fact

4.5/ 5 stars
